The Anti-Oxidant Formula

OxiGuard is the complete anti-oxidant formula designed to protect cells and DNA from the degenerative effects of free radicals. Each of the components of this formula are noted for their beneficial effect on body cells and their ability to combat the results of oxidation.

Vitamin C, in the form of ascorbic acid works with other anti-oxidants to prevent damage from free radicals that may lead to tissue damage and various forms of cancer. Research at the University of California also demonstrated its ability to protect against heart disease by intercepting oxidants before they can attack blood lipids. Vitamin C can also increase the body’s levels of glutathione, a naturally formed anti-oxidant.

Vitamin E is a fat soluble vitamin stored in the liver and considered the body’s first line of defense against lipid peroxidation. Lipid, or fat peroxidation generates toxins and free radicals that may damage body tissues.

Vitamin A is a natural anti-oxidant when found in the form of Beta Carotene. As one of the most widely studied vitamins, Vitamin A has a long list of reported benefits including enhanced RNA production and protection from environmental pollutants. The herbal extracts in this formula, including Garlic, and Grape Seed Extract are well known for their anti-oxidant effects, as are the minerals Zinc and Selenium.
